The Third International Divan Educational Forum was held in Istanbul between July 1stand July 10th 2011. Divan Education and Research Association first started to organize such forums targeting the youth of the ummah two years ago with the support of Hayrât Foundation. 45 undergraduate and graduate students from 12 different countries participated in the forum for a week in the headquarters of Hayrât Foundation.

The main theme of the forum was “Social Issues of the Islamic World: Challenges and Solutions.”

Schedule of first seven days of the program included presentations, workshops, discussions and intellectual debates. Throughout the program the most fundamental aspects of the social and individual lives of Muslims and all people in general were discussed.

45 students from Turkey, Malaysia, Pakistan, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Macedonia, Germany, Holland and England shared their ideas and experiences, made new friends, discussed lots of topics and increased their awareness and consciousness about the issues of the Islamic world and possible solutions to them.

Ashrafuzzaman Khan, President of the North American Imams Federation (NAIF) from USA; Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman, UNIW Malaysia representative from Malaysia, and Dr Mazhar Hussaini, Halal Food expert from USA, presented their speeches through video conference.

As a part of the Forum programme, the participant visited historical places of Istanbul, paid a visit to Isparta and Barla. The forum ended with the final declaration.
